Exelon Corporation GUIDELINES FOR 2004 DIVERSITY METRICS
Basic Premises The 2004 Diversity Metric will be anchored in two basic premises:
• To increase female and minority representation in exempt positions; • To increase female and minority exempt retention.
General Guidelines 1. There will be separate goals for:

• Activity will be tracked based upon direct reporting relationship to the respective
businesses on the appropriate snapshot date.
5. Definitions for purposes of the 2004 Diversity Metric:
• Representation Snapshot – Workforce representation taken of the regular full-time and
part-time exempt population who have an employment status of A, L or P.
• Hire – Addition of new regular full-time or part-time employee to 2004 payroll in an
• Rehire – Return of regular full-time or part-time employee to 2004 payroll in an exempt
band who had previously terminated employment.
• Termination –Removal from payroll in 2004 of regular full-time or part-time exempt due
to voluntary reason, involuntary reason, retirement, death, etc. who leave the A, L or P employment status.
Calculations
Component Calculation
Information to be Tracked for Monthly Reporting Representation Snapshot – Keeping in mind the previously stated definition, use the last date of each calendar month in 2004 for the snapshot date. Hires/Rehires – Keeping in mind the previously stated definitions, use Hire Date within calendar year 2004 as recorded in PeopleSoft. Terminations – Keeping in mind the previously stated definition, use Last Date Worked within calendar year 2004 for employees who cease to be considered on active status in PeopleSoft. Information will be tracked cumulatively throughout the year. There will be a monthly call for HR Leads. Data Collection Process Company/BU data will be pulled by XXX. XXX will then send the data to the HR Leads for review. Any changes from the HR Leads need to be reported back to XXX. Going forward, any discrepancies need to be resolved prior to submission of the data for the monthly call. XXX will complete the tracking report and then submit three working days prior to each scheduled monthly call. XXX will release the tracking report.
