The Commission has received the following application. The deadline for submission

Northern Native Broadcasting (Terrace, B.C.) (NNBT) to amend
the licence of the native Type B radio programming undertaking CFNR-FM Terrace, British Columbia. The licensee proposes to delete the FM transmitter VF2119 Metlakatla, British
Columbia and to replace it by adding an FM transmitter at Prince Rupert (Mount Hays)
to broadcast the programming of CFNR-FM in order to serve the population of Prince
Rupert.

The transmitter would operate on frequency 98.1 MHz (channel 251LP) with an effective radiated power of 22 watts (non-directional antenna/effective antenna height of 422.4 metres). NNBT indicates that the equipment at Metlakatla is failing regularly and that the Prince Rupert transmitter would be accessible at all times of the year and would provide a better coverage of the area. The Commission notes that the presently authorized 3 mV/m and the 0.5 mV/m contours of the transmitter VF2119 Metlakatla would be included in the 0.5 mV/m contour of the proposed Prince Rupert transmitter.
