Health Effects
Acute – Ingestion
Harmful if swallowed. May cause irritation to mouth, throat & stomach.
Acute – Eye
Acute – Skin
Can be absorbed through the skin. Has low toxicity through this route. Cancause numbing, burning and tingling sensations with a peak of about 8 hoursafter exposure.
Acute – Inhalation
Harmful by inhalation of mists. Symptoms of overexposure are diarrhoea,salivation, tremors, convulsions, hyperactivity and hypersensitivity There are no reports of chronic health effects in humans resulting from exposureto Permethrin First Aid
Ingestion
Seek immediate medical advice. Do NOT induce vomiting,.
Immediately rinse eyes with water. Hold eye lids open and flood with water for atleast 15 minutes. Seek immediate medical advice. Remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Ifskin irritation persists seek medical advice. Launder clothing before re-use.
Inhalation
Remove person to fresh air. Keep at rest. Seek medical advice id exposure ismore than trivial. Administer artificial respiration if breathing has stopped.
