CALL FOR ARTIST SUBMISSIONS

BACKGROUND
Fermynwoods Contemporary Art is an independent arts organisation that works with artists and audiences to develop a programme that explores and reflects on issues relating to art and ecology, to enhance understanding and engagement with our rural and urban environments. This is achieved through artist residencies and commissions, site-specific installations and participatory events that take place in public spaces across Northamptonshire and beyond, in collaboration with regional, national and international Last November, Fermynwoods Contemporary Art launched its first open submission online exhibition, which has been viewed by approx 4,000 people to date. Please see www.fermynwoods.co.uk/current-programme/open-online. For this year’s exhibition, we would like artists to submit sound based work or
visualisations of sound.
The submissions will be judged by artist George Barber and Matt Davenport, artist and Head Please send a clearly labeled CD/DVD of the work1, together with a completed application form to the office address above, or email the work file and form to: info@fermynwoods.co.uk Most formats will be acceptable – we will contact you if we are unable to open the file. 1 In line with our funding guidelines, all work must be original, should not infringe the copyright or other rights belonging to any third party and should not be defamatory, blasphemous or obscene.
