SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT

hazards recognition program, and work standards; Designed and developed the Special Condition Tag
(SCT) process, and the System Permit to expedite lockout/tagout operations; Developed a simplified Root
Cause Analysis process; Developed, reviewed and approved "Blocking Sequences" used for deenergizing
and isolating power generation electrical and mechanical systems; Designed and Developed tools and
test equipment to isolate and control hazardous energy; Communicated, trained, performed, and
assessed all of these activities; Directed various groups and staff personnel involved with the described
processes. Developed Affiliate Level Agreements, and Station Interface Documents for Peco/ComEd
merger. Organized meetings, developed the documents, obtained legal approval, Nuclear, Fossil, Hydro,
Substation, Power System directors’ approval. The SEC and PUC as a condition of approval of the
merger between Peco/ComEd required these documents. Designed and developed “R” Stamp program
training for Peco Fossil/Hydro/Nuclear. Obtained Pennsylvania State approval based on the accepted
program and delivered training.
EQUIPMENT DESIGN AND MODIFICATION

Designed high voltage testing equipment, special 4kv and 13kv circuit breakers to facilitate testing and
repair of associated elevator mechanisms; Designed insulating barriers, special locks, dummy fuses,
"mousetraps," standard safety grounds (temporary protective grounds), and other safety devices to
ensure safe repair and overhaul procedures; Designed modifications to the Cardox fire protection system
used at nuclear facilities.
COMPUTER LITERACY

Participated in the development of the Permit Manager Computer program; certified and experienced in
the use of AutoCad, Interactive Video and various PC software (Word, WordPerfect, DOS, Windows,
Rflow, MS Project, Visio, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, numerous Clip Art programs, and CD Based
Reference programs e.g. NEC, CBT, OSHA/DOT/EPA Regulations, etc.).
QUALITY ASSURANCE

Audited and assessed Power Plant operations to ensure compliance with corporate, industry and
regulatory requirements; Conducted assessments of Power Plant operations with outside consultants;
Conducted assessments of Power Plant operations for other Utilities; participated in the evaluation and
takeover of a newly acquired Power Plant.

POWER PLANT OPERATIONS

Qualified fossil Power Plant Operator; carried out all responsibilities associated with the following
positions at a fossil-fuel generating station: Switchboard Operator, Assistant Switchboard Operator,
